The crisp autumn air, the changing colors of the leaves, the shrill shrieks of terror from behind the basement door, and the sound of blood splattering the walls. It’s October, the happiest time of the year for me and mine: horror addicts, thrill seekers, gore whores, and any other name whispered on the winds in the night.
Television specials and horror-filled nights of films are advertised on our screens, calling the horror enthusiasts from beneath the stairs and out into the night. October is the holiday that makes me smile and laugh and shriek in delight.
If there is a month promoting the horror enthusiast, it is October. It is fitting that my horror blog is launching in this month, I wouldn’t have it any other way, though horror in July is completely acceptable to me. However, this is the most wonderful time of the year to let my horror fiend flag fly.
And it is with sadistic pleasure and with heartfelt guts that I welcome you to this gruesome detail.
