Shutter Island Quick Review

Directed by Martin Scorsese

Shutter Island tells the story of Teddy Daniels, a U.S. Marshall, investigating the disappearance of a murderess who escaped from a hospital for the criminally insane.

Teddy’s been waiting for an assignment on the island for personal reason, but his shrewd investigation skills unearth puzzling, improbable clues that make him question everything.

Shutter Island was an amazing film that delved into the human psyche. This is my kind of psychological horror, making the audience uncertain during the film and making them think afterward.

Not only did the storyline make the film for me, but the soundtrack alone was a superb win! From the beginning of Shutter Island, the music brought so much tension to the film. It brought such a haunting atmosphere to Shutter Island, this film definitely surpassed my expectations.
